The basics of the story are that you are an ex SAS man called, Jones and you are a freelance badass. You have been hired to track down a stolen warhead and what at first seems like a straightforward mission is anything but.

Grab Your Guns

You do have a pretty decent selection of guns in the game. Each gun has its own section and you can use weapons such as assault rifles, shotguns, handguns and so on. Swapping between guns though is a real pain in the butt and it is one of the aspects where the game does show its age. Still, once you do get used to it, it is not that bad. Just be warned it takes a while to get used to it.

Keep It Real

The idea of Project IGI: I'm Going In is that it is a more “realistic” kind of first-person shooter. These days many big shooters manage to walk that fine line of being realistic and also being fun. With this one it is fun, but the gameplay is most certainly a product of its time. It is cool and realistic how walking in front of cameras can get you spotted, but on the flip side of this, you can fire off your gun and no one comes running.

So, for somethings, their realistic approach works very well and for others, not so much. The AI is a mixed bag. Sometimes you can get into a firefight with enemies and it is intense. Other times they will just run straight at you and you can mow them down pretty easily.

Variety Is The Spice Of Life

As this a more tactical shooter, you cannot always go in guns blazing. You will need to figure out ways around certain things. This can be something like hacking a computer, picking a lock or even using a zip wire. These types of things do help add variety to the missions which is great as many of the areas you are in all look similar.

Back in 2000, I am sure that Project IGI: I'm Going In was a masterpiece of a game. It is still kind of fun to play, but I would say that you really had to have played games back then to get the most out of this today. I feel younger gamers may find this just outdated and not fun. Still it does have a charm and it is cool to see what was classed as a realistic first-person shooter 20 years ago.

  • The character you play as is a badass
  • Lots of action
  • The different guns are cool
  • There is some variety to the gameplay which is cool

Cons:

  • The game is very short
  • The gameplay feels rather dated in many areas

I think this is the game, which you played atleast once in your life, may be it’s the best first person mode game ever.
But as all of you know, there is no official cheats for this game(full version). You have to complete all the stages by your own merits.
Its hard & time taking to play but still very entertaining.

HERE ARE SOME TRICKS WHICH MAY HELP YOU A LOT TO COMPLETE THIS GAME EASILY

FOR TRAINER MODE :-
For trainer mode there are some cheats to apply in this game.

1;First of all you have to typr ‘nada’ at the main menu. Which enables the cheats.

2; After that you have to just type the following codes during the game play to apply the cheats

for infinite health-‘Allgod’
for infinite ammo-‘Allammo’
for easy mode-‘easy’
to kill all animies-‘ewww’

But as you know there is no cheat codes for the full version of the game.:(
So we have to just simply HACK it.

To hack this game you have to just follow these steps.

1;First go to
c:program fileseidos interactiveproject IGIpccommonai

It is gooc to make a reserve copy of this ai folder.

2;First copy the file civilian.qmv. [Clrt+C]

Then paste it a number of times. [Clrt+V]

After that DELETE all other files one by one.

At last rename the copies of civilian.qmv[F2] to guard.qmv, gunner.qmv , observer.qmv etc.
